Jeff Teitelbaum
Jeff Teitelbaum is one of only two full-time forensic librarians in the United States. He received his Master’s degree in Library & Information Sciences from the Information School at the University of Washington in 2006. Since then, he has been running the forensic library & research services for the Forensic Laboratory Services Bureau, the crime lab system which is part of the Washington State Patrol. He supports the information needs of nearly 200 scientists in all disciplines of the modern crime laboratory: Toxicology, DNA, CODIS, Chemistry, Microanalysis, Arson, Firearms, Questioned Documents, Crime Scene Response Team, Latent Fingerprints, Drug Recognition Experts, Breath Test, and Ignition Interlock.
Jeff’s previous career was in the film industry in Los Angeles, California, where he was a studio executive at 20th Century Fox Studios, as well as a story editor for several of the top film producers in Hollywood. He was associated with a number of feature films, including The Firm, Searching for Bobby Fischer, and Little Man Tate.
